Capsule Hotel Havendijk
Atelier NIRIS has completed the design of a new capsule hotel in Schiedam, the Netherlands.
The hotel features 50 sleeping units, arranged efficiently within a vibrant shared interior. Each capsule is thoughtfully designed to provide comfort while maximising space, with rounded tops, soft finishes, and colour-themed rows that give rhythm and identity to the layout. Alongside the compact capsules, a few larger private units offer guests a more spacious option.
Beyond the sleeping pods, the interior encourages connection and relaxation. A shared kitchen, cozy window booths, and warm wood finishes create welcoming spaces for guests to unwind. The bold palette of deep blues, sunny yellows, and coral tones, combined with organic curves, makes every corner feel lively yet considered.
Whether staying in a capsule or enjoying the communal spaces, this capsule hotel demonstrates how design can transform small spaces into rich experiences.
