Cherry Blossom Garden, Delfgauw
Atelier NIRIS has worked on the conceptual design of a cherry blossom garden in a new neighbourhood in Ruyven.
Characterised by pink cherry blossom trees and beautiful villas, semi-detached houses and studios where one can experience peace, luxury and comfort amidst the cherry blossoms and feel one with nature. The thoughtfully cherry blossoms, dotted across fields and boulevards, create a sense of unity between the different types of houses and open areas. The large cherry garden field at the entrance of the neighbourhood becomes a gathering spaces for residents and visitors of all ages who come here to be one with nature. Various different amenities contribute a vibrant environment which has something for everybody, from picnics in the park to long walks on cherry blossom covered avenues. Various amenities such as the zorghuis, restaurant, teahouse and supermarket across the neighbourhood are connected by these shaded avenues. As the cherry blossoms bloom in spring, the park transforms into a colourful paradise, bringing a touch of Asian heritage into the Dutch landscape.
